Aspen von Alten is a gorgeous 12 month old white German Shepherd.  He is appropriate named because he is snowy white all year round and a really "cool" dog.  One volunteer said Aspen is probably the "perfect family dog."  He is as alert and intelligent as he looks in his pictures.  Quick to learn, Aspen is friendly to people he knows yet alerts to strangers.  Our rescue facility is close to a middle school.  When we walk Aspen near the school, his tail starts wagging enthusiastically when he sees the children.  When you are seated, he puts her head on your knee, flutters his doggie eyelashes at you and yearns to be petted.  A truly special boy, Aspen will make a great addition to any family.
